Tom & girls (families), what a loss we all have suffered by Sandie's passing. We remember so many times when she had an "opinion" about a certain person or event in our little corner of the world and she made that "opinion" loud and clear! we feel fortunate and proud to have had the pleasure of calling her a friend. Our hearts go out to you during this next journey in your lives. Now with that being said allow me to give heaven a warning ...this angel is a pistol packing ,tough as nails, big hearted , straight forward wife, mom, and Grammy. Just hand her the halo and wings and no one will get hurt, shes' earned them!!!

I was saddened by the news of Sandy's death. Lots of memories of attending the races with your family and hanging out at the farm. May you find peace during this difficult time.

We met Sandie back in the late 80’s with husband Tom at the McKean County Raceway in Smethport PA. Tom and Sandie were being introduced to sprint cars by Empire Super Sprints. He was a modified and late model hot shoe and she was just hot. We found this attractive girl to be full of energy and opinions and uncompromising support for Tom’s race team. Over the years we enjoyed her company travelling the northeast USA and southeast Canada. One enjoyment was a memorable photo taken as she bent over to pick up a ball. You couldn’t see her face but knew it was Sandie! Then there was Rolling Wheels Raceway where she got a driver in a headlock for “doing Tom wrong”. It was a highlight of the evening although Sandie got put on “probation”! God, that was fun!

Most of the time she was the bright smile and attitude that kept this serious business grounded. She was always the most gracious host inviting competitors and officials to her home between races. We slept in their beds, ate great breakfasts, and Tom’s competitors used his garage to get ready to try and beat him later that day. The memories she created on those weekends will stay with us forever.

Tom and Sandie were as different as night and day yet were a perfect match. Her job was to pontificate on some issue and his was to shake his head and grin. We saw it a thousand times and it never got too old to make us chuckle. How fortunate they were to have met each other. How fortunate we were to have met them.

Rest in peace Sandie. Tom, know you are loved and admired and we are thinking of you and your family.
